Famous Rock Climbing Sites in Nepal
Hattiban Rock Climbing :
-Hattiban outdoor climbing site is 26km far from Kathmandu City on the way to Dakshinkali temple and take an hour drive by car. The climbing site is just a 20-minute walk from the Road and has more than 10 routes. The climbing grades are start from 6a to 7a . This site is a very special winter with sunlight all day. Summer may be a bit hotter.
Nagarjun Rock Climbing :
Nagarjuna Rock Climbing site is situated in the north west of Kathmandu is one of the popular rock climbing sites in Kathmandu. The cliff’s main face is about 12 meters high, and there are several piton-equipped routes that is fit for beginners, intermediate and professional climbers. We can reach the site with a 15-minute drive from tourist hub Thamel and 30 minutes walk on a dirt road from the check post.
Shivapuri:
Situated to the north of Kathmandu, the Shivapuri rock climbing wall is another interesting rock wall in Kathmandu. Approximately 9 KM drive to Budhailkantha, (Reclining Visnu Sharing ) and then walk west to the Vishnumati stream through terraced fields and enters the Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife reserve. A big cliff in the center is equipped with a single route.
